Lagos appoints new Ayangburen of Ikorodu

The Lagos State Government has approved the appointment of Prince Kabiru Adewale Sotobi as the next Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

He will mount the thrown left vacant by Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi, who died in August 2, 2014.

Prince Sotobi, who will be the 20th Ayangburen, hails from the Lasunwon Ruling House.

Similarly, the state government has also approved the upgrading of the Baale of Imeke to a second class Oba with the title of Onimeke of Imeke.

Chief Abraham Olatunji Adewale Ogabi was appointed for the position.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lateef Ibirogba, who made the announcement at a press briefing in Alausa, Ikeja, said that the two appointments take immediate effect.
