Defeated Lagos APC governorship aspirant, Senator Ganiyu Solomon has pledged to stay in the party and work for its success and that of its candidate.
Solomon, who is the current Senate Minority Whip, is rounding up his second term in the senate. He came third at the December 4 governorship primaries of the APC in Lagos State.
He, alongside 11 other aspirants rejected the outcome of the primary election, saying the process was flawed with manipulation in favour of the eventual winner, Akinwunmi Ambode.
He disclosed this while addressing his supporters, adding that he accepted the result in good faith.
“Let us just say it is the will of God and we have accepted our fate”.
The former executive chairman of Mushin Local Government, Lagos State said the fact that a primary was organised to pick the candidate of the party shows that the party was moving forward.
