Senator Rashidi Ladoja
The Director of Public Communications of Senator Ladoja Campaign Organisation 2015, Mr Akanmu Adeyanju, has said the Accord Party governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, will not join issues with any politician or political group in the state.
Adeyanju, who was reacting to an advertisement, where Senator Ladoja was described as a “self-centered, arrogant, callous and wicked person”, added that “the publication is a farrago of lies and malicious doctoring of facts by the people behind it.”
He added that the “entire content of the advert represented the figment of the advertisers’ imagination to cause disaffection, which will fail.”
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the spokesman noted that Senator Ladoja was currently preoccupied with plans on how to construct Ibadan circular road, open up Oyo State for foreign direct investments (FDIs), create good jobs for the army of the unemployed and end endemic poverty in the state, rather than join issues with anybody or engage in “needless arguments and cast aspersion on any politician” in the state.
“Senator Ladoja is serious-minded; he is determined to bring about positive transformation to the state the moment he is elected. The underlying message of the publication is to castigate Senator Ladoja and paint him in a bad light, but this will definitely fail, because all the issues raised in the advert never happened.
“We know too well that their intention is to create negative image for Senator Ladoja. If not, how would anyone say that the former governor is callous, arrogant, and that he abandoned the families of certain people?
“Those who are close to Senator Ladoja know that he is a philanthropist who is humble to a fault. His contributions to the lives of people within and outside Nigeria are invaluable,” the statement added.
