Ladoja, 16 Oyo lawmakers, others finally join ADC after meeting with Obasanjo [PHOTOS]

Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja and some stalwarts of the Peoples Democtaric Party (PDP), in the state Wednesday morning met former President, Olusegun Obasanjo at his Abeokuta residence to perfect plans to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a party loyal to Chief Obasanjo.

DAILY POST gathered that Ladoja was accompanied to Obasanjo’s residence by former Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Sarafadeen Alli and Public Relations Officer of PDP, Engineer Akeem Olatunji, Hon. Demola Omotoso and sixteen members of the state House of Assembly among whom were the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Musa Abdulwasiu and Hon. Muideen Olagunju.

Olatunji who confirmed that Ladoja and his lieutenants had agreed to dump the PDP at the meeting with Obasanjo, added that the leaders were on their way to Ibadan, the state capital to inform their loyalists about the new development.

The former PDP spokesman in a brief telephone conversation with DAILY POST Wednesday afternoon said, “Just had a marathon meeting with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.”

He added that at meeting were “Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Adewolu Ladoja, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Michael Koleosho, Dr Busari Adebisi and Bar Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

Others according to him were, ” Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Oyo State Labour Party Chairman, Hon Eriba, Engr Akeem Olatunji, Hon Ademola Kamil Omotoso, 16 members of Oyo State House of Assembly – among whom are the Deputy Speaker, Bar Wasiu, Hon Muideen Olalekan Olagunju and Hon. Adesina Adeniyi.

“ADC 8 members Caretaker committee to be inaugurated tomorrow by 1pm in Ibadan,” he said.
