Following grave allegations of anti party activities and acts considered inimical to the interest of the Labour Party ( LP), Kogi state Secretary of the party, Comrade Ibrahim Itodo has been suspended.

In a letter conveying the suspension order as signed by the National Secretary of the Labour Party, Barrister Olukayode Ajulo, and sent to Comrade Itodo, the National Leadership of the party said, “in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the constitution of the party , it has decided to suspend you as the State Secretary of the party forthwith, pending the outcome of the disciplinary committee set up by the party.”

According to Barrister Ajulo, the action taken against the suspended Secretary was based on the grave allegations of anti party activities and other acts that have been seen to be contrary to the interest and progress of the party.

The party also informed Itodo that he will be invited to defend himself in due course.

The suspension letter was communicated to Itodo through the state Chairman, Honourable Ibrahim Usman. Ibrahim said the decision was due to many anti party activities.
