Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Jigawa State branch has begged Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar to end the long scarcity of accommodation faced by workers in the State.
This was stated by the state NLC chairman Comrade, Sunusi Alhassan Maigatari while speaking with newsmen in Dutse.
He explained that as a result of accommodation problems especially in the Dutse area of the state capital, workers are finding their lives miserable.
He also appealed to the Governor to actualized the proposed housing scheme at various locations in the State.
Alhassan noted that actualizing the proposed housing program will end accommodation problems in the State.
He also begged the Governor to consider the payment of 50% leave and transport grant to workers within the week to ease their burdens during the month of Ramadan.
“There is no better time for you to approved the payment of the reintroduced 50% leave and transport grant to workers for the year 2019 than now,” he said
He said Governor Badaru Abubakar has on had in his 2015 campaign promised to reintroduce the payment of leave grant to Jigawa state workers.
