Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez has revealed why Liverpool ace, Philippe Coutinho is so keen to leave Liverpool for Barca.
Suarez said the midfielder has ‘ambition’ and that any player would want to come to the Catalan club.
The Uruguay International believes Coutinho has a lot to offer the La Liga giants.
“Coutinho is a player who has ambition, And any player would want to come to Barcelona,” Suarez told Mundo Deportivo.
“He went through a difficult and very complicated moment but as a professional he continued to show how good a player he is.”
He also revealed what he thinks Coutinho can bring to Barcelona.
“A lot. I know him as a person and as a player because I played with him, but what Coutinho can contribute everyone knows.
“He is a footballer, who today, plays at a very high level,” he said.
Coutinho attempted to push through a transfer to the La Liga giants over the summer, and was the subject of a number of large bids.
He even handed in a transfer request in a bid to force Liverpool’s hand, but the Reds insisted he wasn’t for sale, and stuck to their guns.
