Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his domestic return for Real Madrid on Wednesday against Real Betis.
Ronaldo has finished serving a five-match suspension, which he got for pushing a match official in the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona.
The 32-year-old missed his side’s first four games of the new La Liga season as a result of the suspension, but is finally set to return to league action.
He joined the rest of the squad on Tuesday in training, as they finalized preparations for the game.
Madrid have not had a convincing start to their title defence, with disappointing home draws against Valencia and Levante seeing them fall four points behind rivals Barcelona already, making Ronaldo’s availability a welcome boost.
Ronaldo netted a brace last week, in a 3-0 win over Apoel Nicosia in his side’s Champions League opener last week.
