Barcelona continued their perfect start to the season, with a 3-0 win over Girona on Sunday night, to restore a four-point lead atop the La Liga table.
The Catalans went ahead in the 20th minute through an Aday own-goal, after the defender deflected Jordi Alba’s shot into his own net.
Goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz denied Aleix Vidal and Ivan Rakitic, but deflected a Vidal back-heel into his net to make it 2-0.
Sergi Roberto teed up Suarez for Barca’s third with a perfectly weighted ball over the top of the Girona defence.
The result means Barca now lead second-placed Atletico Madrid by four points, third-placed Sevilla by five and Real Madrid by seven.
