La Liga: Barcelona maintain unbeaten start with 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona remain undefeated in La Liga, after they claimed a 2-0 win at Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night.

Athletic should have taken the lead in the first half, but Inaki Williams and Aritz Aduriz were wasteful, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen making fine saves

Lionel Messi eventually opened scoring for the Catalans, playing a long-range one-two with Jordi Alba and drilling past Kepa Arrizabalaga in the 37th minute.

Messi then set up Paulinho to double Barca’s lead with almost the last kick of the match.

Ernesto Valverde’s side remain top of the league with 28 points from 10 games.
