La Liga: Barcelona congratulates Real Madrid for winning title

Barcelona has sent out a congratulatory message to Real Madrid, who dethroned them as the champions of the Spain.
The Catalans posted on their official Twitter page: “Congratulations to Real Madrid on winning the 2016-17 La Liga.”
Zinedine Zidane’s side on Sunday, defeated Malaga 2-0 to win the 2016/2017 La Liga title.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened scoring as early as the second minute of the encounter, before Karim Benzema added the second 10 minutes after the break.
It is Madrid’s first league crown in five years.
Madrid had to wait until the final round of fixtures to be confirmed winners, as Barcelona ran them close up till the end.
Although Luis Enrique’s men came from behind to defeat Eibar 4-2 at the Nou Camp, they could only finish second, failing to defend the title they won last year.
