President of the Senate, David Mark, has condemned the recent massacre of over 50 worshippers at the Konduga, Borno State Mosque, describing those behind the bloody attack as insane.
Mark, while reacting to the attack, which claimed several lives and property, in a statement said, “nothing can be so cruel and callous than this crime against humanity.”
He called on security operatives to review their strategies for more effective result, just as he called on those behind the bloodletting to have a rethink.
The statement reads, “The continued violence, killing of innocent and unarmed people and destruction of property by the insurgents cannot be justified or contribute towards achieving whatever their objectives may be.
“There is a need for the perpetrators and their financiers to make a u-turn and embrace peace.
“It is only a mad man that throws stone into the market place or village square without thinking about the consequences,” he said
