Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month for September.
The forward, who assumed a more striking role following injury to first choice striker, Harry Kean, scored four goals and bagged one assist as Spurs won three matches during the month.
He grabbed the monthly award ahead of Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, Liverpool’s Adam Lallana, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
The award was announced on Friday by the management of the Premier League.
Also Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was named the Premier League’s Manager of the month for September.
Klopp won the award, beating Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino and Crystal Palace’s Alan Pardew.
The Reds were unbeaten throughout last month, a run that included two away wins against Chelsea and Swansea.
Also on Friday, Jordan Henderson’s strike against Chelsea was voted Goal of the Month.
Henderson’s curler from the edge of the Chelsea “18” was the second Liverpool goal in a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
