Liverpool owners are ready to break the bank, to secure Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield future, the UK Mirror reports.
Klopp delivered the club’s sixth Champions League title on Saturday night, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Madrid on Saturday.
The German still has three years left on his current deal, but principal owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner and director Michael Gordon want him to extend his contract.
Talks are ongoing and the owners are confident he wants to commit his future to Liverpool.
Klopp’s current contract takes him up to 2022, which would be his seventh season at Anfield.
There have been some fears expressed that he left both his other managerial jobs, at German clubs Mainz and Dortmund, after seven seasons with each.
But Klopp recently laughed off that conspiracy theory, by insisting it was purely coincidental.
