Just as the family members of Elder Paul Odili, a kidnapped victim in Delta State were dancing in jubilation over his freedom after seven days in the den of the dare-devil abductors, the 65 year old President of Aboh Development Union (ADU), Asaba branch died three days after he heaved a sigh of relief from the hands of the kidnappers.

Before his death, the deceased was the National Treasurer of the community-related union. He also doubled as the chairman of Delta State chapter of the Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria (LECAN).

Dailypost gathered that Elder Paul was abducted by gunmen in Asaba and taken to a hideout where he was kept and tortured for seven days.

However, his troubled family and friends rallied round to raise the huge sum of N1.5 million to secure his release.

Just when the family had thought that their troubles were over, the released captive started complaining of severe pains, following the torture he received from the hoodlums during the days he was held hostage.

“Elder Chima died barely three days after his release from the hands of his kidnappers. Before his death, he complained of pains all over his body and was nursing a gunshot injury inflicted on him by the kidnappers,” a family source hinted.
