Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, has promised he will continue to give home-based players more opportunities to feature in the team.
The Big Boss has started work full time, after he signed a new two-year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday.
He is renowned for giving players from the domestic league a chance to prove themselves and he insists he will not stop.
“I’ve always enjoyed working with the home based lads. It’s not something new to me because I did it earlier and haven’t deviated and I hope to continue with it,” he said.
“Right from my time in Togo and Mali, I always gave opportunities to local based players to show their stuff and most of them don’t disappoint.
“So, it is something I would like to continue and use it to help build a stronger team for our country.
“Every time we come to camp and I see them, I’m always happy and it is a good thing that most of them have now gone on to become core members of the team and I hope to continue building on that”, he added.
