The Chief Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Stephen Keshi has described as false and mischievous media reports that he has concluded plans to resign from the national team before the end of this week.

Speaking to Channels Television through his media consultant, Emmanuel Ado in Kaduna, the former Super Eagles captain said there was never a time he made such statement or contemplated resigning his position as published in a section of the media and advised media houses to always confirm their reports before publishing them.

Mr Ado, while affirming that the relationship between Keshi and the Aminu Maigari led Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) as cordial, described the report as the handiwork of mischief makers who are bent on creating a rift between Keshi and the NFF.

According to him, what is paramount to the Super Eagles coach and the NFF is how the team will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and not to engage themselves in any form of internal bickering.

He added that Keshi enjoys a good working relationship with his players contrary to media reports that he was at war with some of the players shortly after the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
