General Overseer, The Word Bible Church, Prophet Julius Kumoluyi, has expressed firm belief that the ongoing rebuilding of the country being spearheaded by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration would bring about restoration of the country’s lost glory.
Kumoluyi, however, urged Nigerians to step up their prayers for the success of the administration through intercession for wisdom and knowledge for the President and other leaders and as well for God’s spirit to direct the country’s affairs.
The cleric, who said the hardship being experienced at the moment were necessary in view of the nature of the rebuilding process and the targeted good life for the citizenry by the present administration, said: “One has to pass through fire to become great.
“That is what Nigeria is passing through now. I always compare Nigeria to a 25-storey building that suddenly collapsed. The rebuilding has to take time and accompanied by some pains. The rebuilding of Nigeria is ongoing. Nigeria will soon laugh and everything will be okay,” he said.
The cleric, who was in Ekiti State for the monthly three-day programme of his church tagged “The All Purpose Prayers”, spoke during a condolence visit to the Onigede of Igede Ekiti, Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru, over the death of former APC Senatorial Candidate, Ambassador Gbenga Olofin.
Olofin, a native of Igede Ekiti, died in a road crash last month.
Kumoluyi implored the monarch and Igede people to take heart as death was a necessary end, saying what mattered were the legacies that individuals would leave behind, adding: “I did not know the late Ambassador Olofin, but what people say of him, his good works in this community and how God used him to touch the land and its people are the reason for our visit”.
He reiterated call for the setting up of a separate court to try corrupt public office holders, saying, “such will ensure speedy trial, check the trend of graft among politicians and public office holders and as well accelerate development as resources will be channeled to right quarters”.
Kumoluyi, who expressed belief in the corporate existence of Nigeria, also appealed to groups and individuals singing tunes of disintegration to come out and tell the government their grievances so that everything would be resolved amicably.
This, he said, was necessary to save the country from being dragged backwards and away from the present path of rebuilding, restoration and progress.
