Over two years since the attack of some communities in Kaura local government area of Kaduna State that left them homeless, most of the affected villagers are yet to return to their ancestral homes.

The affected villages according to DAILY POST investigation are Mafan, Adu, Mayit and Telak in Zangang and Ganauri districts, which are sharing boundaries with Plateau State.

It will be recalled that the affected inhabitants, who were attacked by unknown gunmen and forcefully disposed of their belongings, had to seek refuge in neighbouring villages.

The affected inhabitants, who are peasant farmers cannot cultivate their farm lands as a result of insecurity, thereby living under abject poverty.

Most of the disposed persons confessed that the assistance rendered to them by the state government could not ameliorate the situation they found themselves because they had their houses and all their means of livelihood completely destroyed by the gunmen.

They called on the state governor, Malam Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufai to quickly intervene in the situation and ensuring that they returned to their ancestral homes to continue with their normal lives.
