Katsina Emirate Council sacks village head, suspends another

The Katsina Emirate Council has sacked the village head of Wangarawa in Dutsin-ma Local Government Area, Alhaji Gide Lawal. This is contained in a statement signed by the council’s secretary, Alhaji Bello Mamman Ifo, the ‘Sallaman-Katsina’, and made available to newsmen in Katsina on Thursday.

The statement said that Lawal was sacked over gross indiscipline.

The council also suspended the village head of Karaduwa in Matazu Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad.

The statement also said that the council had approved the appointment of Alhaji Salisu Mai-Kano as the village head of Domawa in Dan-Musa Local Government Area of the state.

”Maikano’s appointment took immediate effect,” the statement said.(NAN)
