Kashamu says Jonathan is on divine mission to save Nigeria

The Chairman of Organization and Mobilization Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South-West, Buruji Kashamu, yesterday described President Goodluck Jonathan as being on a divine mission to salvage Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, Kashamu disclosed that, “President Jonathan is a man on a divine mission. God is not yet done with the President and Nigeria.”

The PDP chieftain, who enjoined Nigerians to support the candidacy of Jonathan in 2015, called him “an agent of change”.

Hear him, “I urge all Nigerians and the good people of the South-West to reject hard liners.

“President Jonathan has remained focused and unfettered. In spite of all the abuses and needless provocation, the president keeps saying he has no enemies to fight.

“This shows the mindset of the president and his love for all,” Kashamu said.

He asserted that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had achieved more successes in court cases it prosecuted under the Jonathan administration than under any other administration.

“There is a higher level of accountability and transparency in the management of our Excess Crude Account, Foreign Reserve as well as oil proceeds unlike what obtained in the past.

“For the first time in over 20 years, the accounts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) are being audited at the instance of President Jonathan,” Kashamu said.

The PDP Southwest leader, accused by former president Olusegun Obasanjo of being wanted abroad for drug-related offences, further submitted that the Jonathan’s administration has more regards for freedom of expression and civil liberties than any other government before it.
