Kano Pillars forward, Gambo Mohammed, has declared that the club will be back to their best next season, following a dismal run this campaign.

The Sai Masu Gida have won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL) title for the past three years, but were beaten to the prize by Enyimba this term.

Pillars currently occupy seventh place on the table and do not have a chance of picking a continental ticket.

Gambo is however optimistic they will bounce back.

“By our standard, it’s has been a disappointing season for us,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“But we hope to bounce back and win the title once again next season.

“We have done it before, and I’m confident we can do it again.”
