Head coach of Kano Pillars, Mohammed Baba Ganaru, has hailed his players for a brave performance, after they beat Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
The NPFL’s defending champions, fought back from a goal down, to defeat 10-man Rangers 2-1 in a Match Day 35 clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
Bobby Clement put the Flying Antelopes in front, before Azeez Shobowale’s brace sealed victory for Pillars.
“First and foremost I thank God for the three points in today’s (Wednesday) encounter against Enugu Rangers,” Ganaru told SuperSport.
“It was a tough match for both sides, Rangers played quite well but I think we were the better side and deserved to win.
“I praised by boys for high display of good character coming from behind to win the clash 2-1.
“We will keep the good momentum and winning mentality in the remaining three matches on the calendar so that we will finish the race on high.”
Pillars now have 52 points, 13 behind league leaders, Enyimba.
