Alhaji Abba, son of late Head of State, Gen Murtala Mohammed, has emerged running mate of Alhaji Sagir Takai, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kano State in 2015.
Faruk Iya, the Campaign Coordinator of Takai 2015, announced the nomination of Abba at a news conference in Kano on Saturday.
Iya said the decision to nominate Abba was made by the party’s stakeholders and based on his personal track record of service and commitment to the party.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Abba contested with Takai during the recent PDP gubernatorial primaries in the state. He came second while Takai won with landslide. NAN
