The Kaduna State Government on Friday confirmed renewed attack in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
The attack, which led to the death of one person, and one other injured, started early Friday morning.
Following the attack, the Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Kasuwan Magani with immediate effect.
A statement from the Senior Special Assitant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, said the Deputy Governor, Barnabas Yusuf Bala, has directed vigorous enforcement of the curfew and has urged the citizens to comply and support peace efforts in the community.
“Following events in Kasuwan Magani, the dusk to dawn curfew that has been in place in Kajuru local government area had been extended to 24-hours in the entire local government area.
“The 24-hour curfew in the entire Kajuru LGA is with immediate effect, and will be enforced until further notice,” the statement read.
