The Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-rufai, has vowed to bring to book the perpetrators behind the protest that led to the destruction of properties in Kafanchan metropolis.
The governor, who spoke on Tuesday at the Emir of Jema’a palace, lamented the level of destruction of properties being done by the waring parties.
The governor said the dastardly act must not be allowed to continue, adding that there were some Southern Kaduna politicians who were encouraging the youths to engage in criminal activities.
He called on the traditional rulers to talk to their subjects and caution the youths against engaging in criminal tendencies as doing so could attract the wrath of the laws.
According to him, full investigation would be launched into the matter with a view to arresting those behind the unrest to serve as a deterrent to others.
Responding, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Isa Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, commended the government for a quick response and the deployment of security personnel to arrest the situation.
