Two people have been reportedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at a Joint Task Force outpost on Monday barely 48 hours after five people were ambushed and killed by the same group at Godogodo, Jema’a local government of Kaduna State.

DAILY POST observed that the attack which took place around 2am at Dogon Fili village in Godogodo Chiefdom had the attackers invading the community, killing two members of a family.

The Chief of Godogodo, Millam Iliya Ajiya who confirmed the incident to DAILY PST said the attack witnessed the killing of a father, Iliya Manja, 80 and his son, Istifanus Iliya, 40.

He described the incident as unfortunate and requested for government’s quick intervention to curb the spate of the lingering attacks in the area.

“The Fulanis now attack our communities even in broad day light let alone at nights,” he noted.

Also, Mr Yakubu Gambo, a resident of Dogon Fili explained that although two earlier attacks on Saturday were repelled by the security operatives and youths in Godogodo, the attack this morning took the deceased unaware.

“The deceased suffered severe gun shot injuries as they died at the spot,” he said.

Efforts to get confirmation from the Interim Council Chairman of the local government, Dr Bege Katuka, failed as he did not respond to calls nor reply text messages sent to him.

It would be recalled that five persons were reported killed on Saturday following an ambush by suspected Fulani herdsmen at the Joint Task Force Security outpost in Godogodo.
