Kaduna Rep, Jagaba speaks on PDP ‘exit’

A member of the House of Representatives, Adams Jagaba (PDP, Kaduna), has stated that he was not planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker represents Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency of the state.

Jagaba, in a statement he signed on Tuesday, described claims of his exit as “lies from the pit of hell being bandied by merchants of mischief”.

He assured his supporters and all members of the PDP that he remained committed to the ideals of the party.

“With my campaign team, which is still intact, we shall work assiduously for the success of the party and our candidates at all levels so that they emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections,” Jagaba said.

He congratulated Senator Danjuma Laah, who won the Kaduna South PDP Senatorial primary election.

Jagaba dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) in May, saying that PDP is the only party that has Nigerians at heart.

During his defection alongside others, he said: “All Progressives Congress, APC, has nothing to offer Nigerians but APC-led administration in the country is an administration of intimidation, hate speech and other vices.

“APC has brought kidnapping, cattle rustling and disunity among Nigerians and all these challenges have led abject poverty in the country and insecurity.

“APC does not mean well for the youth of this country leaving them in abject poverty thereby leading to all social vices that has become the order of the day.

“On behalf of the decampees of Southern Kaduna, l am assuring PDP that we shall together fight to ensure we liberate Nigerians from the leadership of APC to restore the country back to its lost glory.”
