Following the recent reactivation of the Kaduna Refinery Production Company, the state indigenes have started reaping the benefit as major filling stations are now selling kerosene that use to be a scarce commodity.
DAILY POST correspondent who visited a Total filling station along Mohammed Buhari way observed that most customers were excited over the availability of the product.
At the Mobil filling station along Independent ways, some customers expressed sadness due to the long queue.
In a telephone conversation with DAILY POST, the Directorate of Petroleum Resources, said within the next few days, the long queues experienced would disappear as more filling stations are expected to receive the product.
He assured that the issue of black market and hoarding of the product will be a thing of the past, saying “Customer can drive into filling station to get kerosene.”
However, a customer, Mrs Elizabeth John complained that she stayed for a long time on the queue but could not get the product.
