Mr Labari Tella (PDP-Jema’a) at the Kaduna State House of Assembly has expressed concern over incessant attacks in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing the development as worrisome.
Recall that no fewer than three persons were feared killed in an attack on Sunday (yesterday) night between Aso and Tanda bridge in Gwong Chiefdom of Jema’a local government area.
The legislator who was reacting in a statement in Kaduna on Monday said, “the government should rather than paying lips-service, rise to the occasion which hitherto had remained unabated”.
” The rather dastardly act raises concern especially bearing in mind that the general election was only a few weeks away. The signal is not healthy to guaranteeing safety of lives and property,” he said.
“This development is enough to scare the people away from exercising their franchise on the days of election.” Tella added
While sympathising with the bereaved, Labari Tella enjoined the people to remain vigilant against individuals he described as enemies of progress and urged the people to resist the temptation of any form of repraisal.
It would be recalled that 15 persons were killed while 17 others sustained bullet injury following gruesome attack at Ungwan Pa’ah village In Godogodo Chiefdom of Jema’a Local Government Area December 16 last year.
