Member representing Jema’a constituency (PDP-Jema’a) at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mr Labari Tella has condemned Sunday’s killings by gunmen who invaded Ungwan Pa’a village in Godogodo Chiefdom of Jema’a local government area, killing 14 people, and leaving 17 others injured.

Honourable Tella in a statement he personally signed on Monday in Kafanchan, said it was rather dastardly act highly inhumane, and urged the government and security agents to bring the perpetrators to book in order to serve as a deterrent to others.

His words: ” It is rather unfortunate that the ugly trend which the people thought would be a thing of the past seem to be reoccurring again just when the yuletide is around the corner.

“I sympathize with the bereaved and those receiving treatment at the hospital with the hope that they would recover from the untold pain and trauma this incident had inflicted on them,” he said.

According to the statement, “I urge the people of the affected community and it’s environs to shun reprisals tendencies, be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or group of persons to the approprhorities.”
