Concerned Citizens of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State has petitioned the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki over substitution of ambassadorial nominees by Governor Nasir El-rufa’i.

A copy of the petition which was exclusively made available to DAILY POST in Abuja, alledged that governor Nasir El-rufa’i had substituted the name of Alhaji Muhammad Yaro Farakwai from Igabi Local Government of Kaduna State with ‎Alhaji Ahmad Nuhu Bamali from Zaria local government of the state.

The petition, which was signed by the group’s Chairman, Hon. Salisu Baban Halima and Secretary, Barrister Sani Shehu described as shocking, the substitution, noting that the later hailed from the same LGAs with the governor.

It reads: “Sir, we the entire people of Igabi LGA are utterly shocked and at the same time disturbed as to the removal of Alhaji Muhammad Yaro’s name, which was earlier sent.”

The group argued that the person who was earlier forwarded by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Senate had credentials for consideration as non career diplomat, pointing that as a former Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, his wealth of experience stood him out.

They decried at the concentration of political appointees in Zaria local government of Kaduna State, including the current Minister, while urging Nigeria Senate to decline the replacement for equity and fairness.

“We are appealing to to the Senate to as a matter of Justice and fair play return the slot to Igabi LGA”, they maintained.
