Kaduna State Government has declared an indefinite 24-hour curfew on the feuding communities in Kwaru and Ungwan Yero.
Two youths were killed in the communities last Friday after a deadly clash.
Samuel Aruwan, Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s Senior Special Assistant on Media announced the curfew extension in a statement Sunday night.
He said: “This extends the 7am to 7pm curfew earlier imposed on these neighboring communities in Kaduna North Local Government.
“The decision was taken after review of the security situation in the communities.
“Residents of the two communities are enjoined to comply with the directives, as security agencies have been directed to vigorously enforce the curfew.”
