Kaduna decides: Senator Hunkuyi speaks on ‘dumping’ PDP after Buhari’s victory

Senator Hunkuyi Suleiman has insisted that he remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The lawmaker’s loyalty of the PDP has been questioned in some quarters since the outcome of the recently-concluded presidential election.
There were speculations that he had commenced negotiation with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for a possible return to the ruling party.
Suleiman was among the lawmakers that defected from the APC to the PDP in the build-up to the 2019 general elections.
But in a tweet on Thursday morning, the lawmaker maintained that his aim was to ensure that the PDP reclaims Kaduna State on Saturday.
He wrote, “I wish to state categorically that I’m still a bonafide member of our great party PDP & I’m 100% in support of our incoming governor Isa Ashiru in the forthcoming elections on Saturday.
“We are committed to this service to the good people of Kaduna State, and we will succeed ISA.”
