Jose Mourinho will not become the next Juventus manager, despite being endorsed for the role by Cristiano Ronaldo, Sky Sports reports.
It is believed that Mourinho, who has previously coached in Serie A with Inter Milan, is out of Juve’s price range.
The Italian champions don’t have the funds to hire the Portuguese, having spent over 100m to sign Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer.
Ronaldo was prepared to put aside his differences with Mourinho and recommended his compatriot for the role being vacated by Max Allegri.
Both men has fallen out during a three-year spell at Madrid.
However, the board do not have the money to bring in the former Manchester United boss, who has been out of work since December 2018.
