Suspended House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin has lambasted the lower legislative Chambers for constituting a committee to probe the Department of State Services, DSS, over its raid of residences of judges across the country.
Jibrin, who recently accused the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara and other principal officers of padding the 2016 budget to the tune of over N40bn, described as “shameless” the action of the House.
DSS had over the weekend raided the homes of some judges across the country over allegation of bribery and professional misconduct.
Following the raid, the lower House had yesterday constituted a committee to probe the action of the secret police.
But the former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation who took to his twitter handle @AbdulAbmJ wrote: “When you see House of Reps Members stealing billions from fraudulent running cost and suppressing allegations of fraud yet shamelessly setting up committee to “Probe” DSS! Who are they fooling???😳😂.”
