Jubril of Sudan: How Buhari ridiculed Nigeria over Nnamdi Kanu’s claim – Afenifere

The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has reacted to insinuation by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, that President Muhammadu Buhari was dead and replaced with one Jubril from Sudan.

Speaking with DAILY POST, spokesperson of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin said Buhari should have reacted to Kanu’s claim at the initial stage and not wait for several months before responding.

Kanu, who had recently made the allegation, had vowed to release more proofs to show that the current President of Nigeria was fake.

However, Odumakin stated that since Buhari failed to respond at the early stage of the allegation, he should have totally ignored the matter.

He lamented that the President made the matter worse by dragging the international community into it, thereby ridiculing Nigeria.

According to Odumakin, “Well, the whole thing started as a rumour by Nnamdi Kanu and he continued to circulate photographs and the President allowed this to drag on for long before Buhari now went to Poland to address the issue. This problem is all about information management by this government, they didn’t manage it well.

“It would have been dismissed when Nnamdi Kanu started this long time ago but allowed it to drag for several months and for such a matter, Buhari should have ignored it totally and not for him to now come out to respond to the matter in a foreign soil, thereby making us a ridicule before the international media.

“It’s either they had dealt with it when it started or completely ignored it, however, the way Buhari dealt with the matter by taking it to the international arena has caused more damage to the image of the country.”
