The accreditation tag of the State House correspondent of the German Radio Deutsche Welle, Ubale Musa, has been withdrawn.

This occurred shortly after the visit of the President of Chad, Idris Deby, to President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House.

Ubale had asked Deby the whereabouts of Abubakar Shekau, the Boko Haram leader.

It would be recalled that Deby once claimed he knew where Shekau was hiding.

Ubale also sought to know the relationship between the multinational task force fighting in Lake Chad and the South African mercenaries fighting with them in Sambisa forest.

Responding, Deby said he was not aware of the presence of mercenaries in Sambisa fighting alongside multi-national troops.

After the briefing, Ubale was called aside and questioned.

Thereafter, he was escorted into a waiting van and driven out of the Villa.

He was later escorted back to the villa to pick his car and belongings in the press gallery.

It is still unclear if Ubale will be readmitted to cover the activities of Nigeria’s President.
