Jordon Ibe becomes Bournemouth’s record signing after £15m move

Bournemouth have completed the transfer of Jordon Ibe from Liverpool for a club-record fee of £15million.

The Nigerian-born forward, has completed formalities of his move to the South Coast club and will now join them for their pre-season training camp in the US.

Ibe, who has played four times for England’s U-21, only signed a new five-year deal at Anfield last May, but found it hard to feature regularly under Jurgen Klopp.

Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said, “We’re delighted to bring Jordon to the football club.

“He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect.

“We’ve now signed five players this summer, all of whom have an abundance of potential.

“It shows that we’re serious about nurturing talent at this football club and we have the long term in mind when we say we want to stay in the Premier League.”
