A former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, has declared that President Goodluck Jonathan will barely get 25 per cent of total votes in the presidential election in his home state, Bayelsa.
Sylva spoke at a news conference in Abuja where a former commissioner for Health in the state and founding member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state, Chief Frank Akpobi announced his defection to All Progressives Congress, APC.
He maintained that the people of Bayelsa had rejected President Jonathan.
Sylva, a senatorial candidate in the coming election, said that the presidential candidate of his party, the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari would win landslide in the state.
He said, “I am happy today that the APC Bayelsa State is marching on. Chief Frank Akpobi is a major addition to our party in Bayelsa State. We believe that with his joining our party, we have made a quantum leap, closer to victory in Bayelsa State”.
