Jonathan sends list of ministerial nominees to Senate

President Goodluck Jonathan today sent eight names to the Senate, seeking their screening and approval as the nation’s Ministers.

The letter signed by Jonathan and read by Senate President, David Mark confirmed the earlier report of senator Musiliu Obanikoro’s nomination.

Others nominated for Senate’s consideration include, Mrs.Patricia Akwashiki (Nasarawa); Mrs. Hauwa’u Lawan (Jigawa); Prof Nicholas Akise Ada (Benue); Col. Augustine Akobundu retd. (Abia); Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo (Ebonyi); Mr. Kenneth Kobani (Rivers) and Senator Joel Ikenya (Taraba).

The Senate is yet to fix a date for the screening.
