Jonathan’s Media Chat, campaign valedictory – Ondo BSO

The Buhari Support Organization (B‎SO), Ondo State Chapter has said that the body language of President Goodluck Jonathan at the recent Presidential Media Chat was a sign that the President has already prepared for his retirement.

The group noted that Jonathan’s responses to questions being asked, also affirmed that he was already aware that Nigerians will not vote for him in the rescheduled election.

In a statement issued and signed by its State Coordinator, Henry-Kehinde Bello, BSO warned that any attempt to truncate democracy in the country may set the nation on fire.

Besides, BSO boasted that Ondo State was among the states that would be delivered for Buhari, saying Jonathan would be shocked about the outcome of the result of the polls.

The Statement reads, “We have watched with rapt attention, the campaign train‎ of President Goodluck Jonathan as it moves around states in the country. It is democratic for government and political Parties to warm their manifestos into the hearts of the people especially, at election period like this. However, the Peoples Democratic Party and President Goodluck Jonathan have deviated from the conventional campaigns of political parties, as their rallies and campaigns generally come across, as celebrating life after office.

“During, the Presidential Media Chat, President Jonathan seemed to had celebrated his retirement from politics and as former President of the Country. During the campaign of the President in Akure, the ground of the campaign was filled with decorations of different types, that even half of the space that should have been provided for the people was filled with various decorations. Well, the President and the PDP have showed us that the gathering of the people for the PDP visit was merely a jamboree which has no political influence on the people of Ondo State.

“This explains the reason the people, especially the sunshine state, did not turn out for the said campaign of the PDP and President Jonathan. Those who did were clamouring for ‘Change’. An upright politician who seeks election, will always marshal his points to convince the electorate and stakeholders, why he should be given the Peoples’ mandate. But, Jonathan opted for ceremonial campaigns which further helped to expose his long year of lack of proper administration and inability to lead Nigeria to her promised land. The way I see it, President Jonathan must have some traits of prophetic tendencies because, even with his campaigns, he seems to have been preparing the handing over speech, coupled with the valedictory (campaign) tours he had embarked upon.

“Nigerians have seen that the campaigns of the PDP and Mr. President have further shown his shortcomings in different areas. What do we call a trip that gathers the people to make fun fair, even when they know that they are making ‘change’ to happen. The supposed campaign tour of President Jonathan is an attestation to the rape of our intellectuals strength in the country. Under the PDP administration, thuggery have been elevated with relegation of intellectuals. Well, in a matter of weeks, the people armed with their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) will March on the street, on March 28th and April 11th, queue on the line and begin the process to effect change in the country.

“President Jonathan has thanked the people of Nigeria for their support during his six years in office, which his he has done under the banner of campaigns.

“The people will prove to the whole world that, even the orchestrated postponement of the elections will further embolden them to push for what they perceive to be the long-awaited change”.
