Jonathan’s family move personal belongings out of Aso Rock

In order to allow for the renovation of the President’s official residence in Aso Rock ahead of the May 29 takeover of the Gen. Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, President Goodluck Jonathan and his family have begun moving their personal belongings out of the Presidential villa.

Shortly after midday on Friday, some buses loaded with travel bags of various sizes and shades were sighted moving out of President Jonathan’s official residence. A white 18-seater Hiace bus marked PF 6244 AL, was still being loaded with more baggage as at press time.

It was gathered that the early removal of the personal belongings of the first family might have been necessitated by the need to get the residence ready on time for Buhari’s family ahead of the May 29 handover date. This was as a source noted that the President might even be operating from outside the residence in the days ahead.
