Jonathan’s ex-aide, Omokri attacks Oshiomhole over comment on Senators, Reps’ defection

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday lambasted the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over his comment on lawmakers who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Following the defection in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, Oshiomhole had said those who left were “mercenaries” who were in APC just to win elections.

However, Omokri faulted the remark, saying Oshiomhole was suffering from marrying “his daughter’s age mate.”

In a series of tweets, the former presidential aide said the former Edo State governor was talking like a small boy.

Omokri tweeted, “How can Oshiomhole say he is happy that defectors left when he went to their individual houses to beg them? Even yesterday, Buhari met with Kwankwaso to beg him not to go.

“This is what happens when an old man marries his daughter’s age mate. He starts talking like a small boy!

“Does Oshiomhole reason or is it the Lara effect that is affecting his judgment? Three days ago he was begging r-APC members not to leave.

“Two days ago he said he was not too proud to beg intending defectors. Now today he calls them ‘mercenaries’ and says he is happy they left!.”
