Jonathan meets PDP Governors over formal declaration

President Goodluck Jonathan may be putting concluding touches to the formal declaration of his intention to seek a second term in office as he held a late night closed door meeting on Sunday at the Aso Rock villa with some PDP governors .

The meeting which started at about 9 pm at the First Lady Conference room, sources say deliberated on preparation for the President Jonathan’s formal declaration and the ambition of second term PDP governors who are seeking to go to the Senate.

Journalists were barred from entering the venue of the meeting as security officers at the venue described the meeting strictly private.

The meeting had in attendance Vice President, Namadi Sambo as well as 15 PDP governors.
