Jonathan lauds Atiku’s contributions to Nigeria’s development

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as a man of great courage.

Jonathan made this remark while congratulating the Waziri of Adamawa on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.

In a statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, the former president stated that Atiku made significant contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria.

He prayed for God’s blessings to enable the former vice-president do more for the progress of the country.

The statement reads, “I wish to, most sincerely, congratulate you on your 72nd birthday. You have every cause to be thankful to God for a long life and a fulfilling experience.

“You are a man of great courage, wisdom, and dedication; all of which you have deployed in service to the nation and humanity.

“Through deep and long-lasting engagements in politics, industry and national integration, you have made outstanding contributions to the growth and development of our nation.

“Your enormous experience, good health, and sound intellect are God’s blessings to enable you to rededicate yourself to the effort to build a country of our collective dreams.

“I join your family and other well-wishers to wish you more productive years in the service of our fatherland.”
