The national leadership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, expressed satisfaction over the level of achievements of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s led administration, which it said was yet to be acknowledged by Nigerians.
PDP, in a communiqué signed by its national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja, on Wednesday, observed that the administration had achieved a lot in all the critical sectors of the economy, going by the scorecards so far presented to it by the Ministers in the ongoing ministerial briefings.
The party said the outcome of the briefings showed that the government had “actually achieved far more than have been widely acknowledged.”
The statement noted that the leadership of the party and, indeed, Nigerians were happy with the administration, but added that the Ministries should strengthen their publicity departments to enlighten Nigerians more on their activities.
According to the PDP, “The National Working Committee, NWC, of the party is, indeed, very surprised at the extent of achievements recorded so far by the President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP administration.
“The PDP, therefore, urged President Jonathan to discountenance ill-founded criticisms by the opposition which were meant to distract government from delivering on its mandate.”
