As former President, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) makes to give out his last daughter, Halima, in marriage Friday evening, former president, Goodluck Jonathan, Senators Adamu Aliero, Aliyu Wamakko, Bala Ibn-Na’Allah, Ben Bruce, Ahmed Yarima are all in Minna, the Niger State capital ahead of the ceremony.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa as well as the Minister of state for Mineral Resource, Alhaji Abubakar Bwari have equally arrived the state.

No fewer than 400 policemen and 135 members of civil defence have been detailed for the event, while police and Air Force helicopters hover around the Airport and venue of the wedding.

IBB recently returned from Germany, where he sought some medical help.Since then, he has kept off from public functions.
Halimat is the second daughter and last child of the family.
She was born by his late wife, Maryam while the military ruler presided over the affairs of the country at Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
Babangida ruled from Lagos between August 1985 until 1991 when he shifted the seat of government to Abuja.
The groom is Alhaji Auwal Lawal Abdullahi, a businessman, who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Sudan Gombe.
