Jonathan declares for second term, vows to end insurgents’ activities soon

President Goodluck Jonathan at the Tuesday declaration of his 2015 re-election bid said that the days of Boko Haram insurgents were numbered as their activities would soon be brought to an abrupt end.

Jonathan who emotionally lamented the growing insurgents’ activities in the north was particularly touched by the Monday morning bomb explosion at Government Technical School, Potiskum, Yobe State where 47 students were killed. In his promise to the nation, the President said the insurgents will definitely be ‘’deleted’’ permanently.

He said it was sheer wickedness for the insurgents to bomb innocent children who were in school to make something for themselves and their parents at the end of the day.

He said his administration was committed to bringing to an end the activities of the insurgents who are said to have captured some territories in the North East states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. Details to follow soon
