Immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, has condemned fresh terrorists’ attack in France and also commiserated with families who lost their loved ones in the terrorist attack that left over 80 people dead.
Jonathan, via his twitter handle @GEJonathan, sympathized with the country and called for global unity to combat the menace of terror.
DAILY POST recalls that a gunman driving a lorry shot sporadically into the crowd of people celebrating the Bastille Day (French Independence day) national holiday, southern French city of Nice yesterday.
Jonathan wrote, “My heart goes out to the people of France over the horrific terror attack #Nice. Again, I call for global unity to combat the menace of terror.
“May the souls of the victims rest in peace and may God grant the nation of #France strength as they mourn. My family and I mourn with them.”
Recall that France was attacked last November in Paris during a football match between the nation and Germany which left over 130 people dead and hundreds wounded.
